Before you start

  • Signed-in account and working internet
Why this can happen
  • Phone permissions, per-device settings, restrictions or camera snooze.

Work through these checks

  1. Check 1

Confirm you are signed in, online, and allowing myQ notifications in phone settings.

    What you should see

The phone can receive push alerts.

    Your next branch

Check airplane mode and battery restrictions if permission is already enabled.

  2. Check 2

In myQ notification settings, select the affected door or camera and enable the intended alert.

    What you should see

The rule targets the correct device.

    Your next branch

For cameras, check the bell menu and stop Snooze if active.

  3. Check 3

Observe the next normal event and compare the app history with delivery.

    What you should see

A notification arrives; most arrive within about 90 seconds, not instantly.

    Your next branch

If history also fails to update, investigate device connectivity rather than only phone alerts.

When to stop

  • Do not cycle a door unsupervised to test alerts. Record event time, phone OS and affected device if support is needed.
