The answer first
Consumer myQ does not provide direct Siri or Apple Home control. Community access is a different product; an IFTTT shortcut is a separate, limited route.
Choose the case that matches yours
Define the job first
Write down whether you need to open, close, check status, or run an Apple Home scene. These are different requirements. A tutorial that demonstrates one close command does not establish all four. Keep that requirement beside the exact app name when checking any guide.
Why the older advice looks convincing
Home Bridge was discontinued in June 2022; support for its myQ and HomeKit functions ended June 15, 2024. Official firmware updates are no longer available. A surviving manual or a setup option is not renewed product support.
A useful next move
For ordinary phone control, use the consumer app with compatible hardware. For a shared entrance, use the invitation issued by your property. For automation, compare the actual command list before connecting another account. Avoid giving an unofficial site your garage credentials.
Questions before you continue
Common questions
Does an Apple Watch app imply Siri support?
No. Treat tapping a watch app and issuing a Siri command as separate capabilities.
Should I reset a working bridge to add HomeKit?
Not as a troubleshooting shortcut. First document your present access method and read the discontinued-product notice.
