Download the official app on iPhone or Android

Install from the official store listing for your phone, then follow the matching setup route.

Before you begin

  • Choose the consumer or Community app above.
  • Check that you can open the official store on the phone where you intend to use the app.

Check the publisher, not only the icon

The Apple listings identify The Chamberlain Group, Inc.; Google Play identifies The Chamberlain Group LLC. The consumer title is myQ Garage & Access Control. The resident title is myQ Community. An unrelated result containing ‘myQ’ is not interchangeable. Our buttons should open the actual store listing, not start a file download.

iPhone and iPad are not the same promise

At this check, both Apple listings require iOS 18 or later for iPhone. Community also lists iPadOS 18 or later. The consumer listing presents iPhone and Apple Watch, so this guide does not promise a native iPad experience. Verify the store’s current compatibility panel on your own device. A universal Android minimum has not been established here.

What to do

  1. Select the correct app card, then your phone platform.
  2. On the store page, compare the exact title and developer with this guide before installing.
  3. Read the device compatibility and privacy information. If the store marks your device incompatible, stop rather than installing an old package from another website.
  4. Install through the store and open the app from your phone. Sign in or follow the official account/invitation flow there—not on LiftMasterApp.com.
  5. Return to the relevant setup route. Downloading the app is not the same as connecting the garage or receiving building access.

What success looks like

The correct official app opens on your phone; any credentials remain within the official app or its authentic sign-in flow.

Pause here if…

  • A download link requests a standalone APK, browser extension or payment to retrieve the app.
  • The store reports an unsupported device or your Community invitation is missing.

Common questions

Is every feature free?

No promise is made here. A free app listing does not establish that hardware, video storage or property services are free.

Should I install both apps?

Only if you have separate use cases. First identify which entrance you are trying to use.

Read the official guidance: myQ Garage & Access Control — Apple App Store ↗ · myQ Garage & Access Control — Google Play ↗ · myQ Community — Apple App Store ↗ · myQ Community — Google Play ↗

Using a different screen?

For Apple Watch, check the watch guide. A native Windows app and Samsung/Wear OS watch control have not been verified here. Do not assume phone support extends to those platforms.

What can cost extra?

The store download, compatible hardware, video services and property licenses are separate. Check the feature’s terms before starting a trial; downloading or uninstalling an app does not establish its billing terms.
